Lab 3d: Work Stealing

• Update your repos to get
  • hawup.workstealing package
  • hawup.examples.rsa RSA factoring example
  • hawup.examples.unevensleeps uneven sleeping to show off work stealing
• Watch the video that demonstrates work stealing
• Follow the instructions in the WorkStealer class
• Try it on the unevensleeps application work stealing
• We will be grading Lab 3b and this lab for correctness and style.
  • Make sure you obtain locks so as to avoid deadlock
  • Make sure you obtain locks where necessary to ensure atomicity where needed
  • Make sure you do not obtain locks unnecessarily

  If you wait until the last minute to get this work done, it is unlikely you will get the feedback you need to receive full credit!

• If you are doing this work (here or 3b) in a group:
  • Make sure the demo'ed repo's code has the names of all group members listed at the top of any files you have modified.

    Provide complete names and WUSTL keys for all members of your group.

  • If you did your work in a group, and the demo'ed repo is somebody else's repo, then make sure in your repo you say whose repo contains the code that should be graded.
• Make sure, as always, that your work is committed.
