Advising

I advise both undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. If you're interested in working with me, or joining my lab, then read the FAQ first.

Undergraduate Students

If you're an undergraduate looking for an academic adviser in Computer Science and Engineering, and you think that I might be a good fit, then send me email and we can talk.

If you're a Washington University undergraduate looking for a place in a research group, you should read the FAQ and then send me email if you think you meet the criteria you see there.

If you're an undergraduate from another university, you should check out our departmental Research Experiences for Undergraduates page.

Graduate Students

If you're already enrolled in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Washington University, and you're looking for an advisor, then read the FAQ and then send me email if you think you meet the criteria you see there.

If you're thinking about enrolling in our graduate program, then you can do it online. If you want to work with me, then send me a brief email after you file your application, and I'll be sure to look for it. I don't admit students directly, so there's no point in asking me if you can be my student. If you send in an application, and you're interested in working with me, I will see it.
