I am a graduate student in Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Washington University, St Louis. My research advisor is Dr. Sally Goldman. I work in machine learning, content-based image retrieval, multiple-instance learning, semi-supervised learning, recommender systems (collaborative filtering) for a distributed ad-hoc mobile network. My previous advisor was Dr. Ron Cytron in the Center for Distributed Object Computing. There I worked on a project about memory allocation and relocation for real-time and embedded systems for my masters. Publications
Local Image Representations Using Pruned Salient Points with Applications to CBIR. In Proceedings of the 14th Annual ACM International Conference on Multimedia (ACM Multimedia), October 2006, to appear. (With Hui Zhang, Rouhollah Rahmani, and Sally Goldman). Meta-Evaluation of Image Segmentation Using Machine Learning. In Proceedings of IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), pages 1138-1145, June 2006. (With Hui Zhang, Sally Goldman, and Jason Fritts.) Upper bound for defragmenting buddy heaps. In Proceedings of the 2004 ACM SIGPLAN/SIGBED Conference on Languages, Compilers, and Tools for Embedded Systems (LCTES), June 2005. (With Delvin Defoe and Ron Cytron).
About My College I graduated with Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Science and Engineering, from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, India. You can find brief descriptions of some of the projects I did during my B.Tech. |
