I graduated in January 2009 with a Ph.D in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis. As a member of the Distributed Systems Group, I conducted research in the fields of fault-tolerant distributed systems and visual programming environments under the guidance of my advisor Dr. Ken Goldman, from June 2004 to December 2008. For my doctoral work, I focused on the creation of practical replication algorithms to tolerate arbitrary (Byzantine) failures in mission-critical services.
