    Studio (kitchen, bedroom, bath): $119
Single suites (kitchen, sitting room, bedroom, bath): $125
Doubles** (two bedrooms, two baths, shared kitchen, shared sitting room): $180
**We strongly recommend this as the best way for groups to save money. It is a good option and private enough for two unrelated professionals.

This hotel is very attractive. It is on the Metrolink about five blocks from the Central West End stop (a bit far for anyone with much luggage), and is linked to the main campus by the university shuttle bus, which runs every 20 minutes and has a capacity of 25. The pickup is across the street from the hotel. There are two dropoffs on the "hilltop campus". The first stop, "Brookings Hall" is at the front of the university (the law school is on the other side of campus). The other is at the side of the university (the law school is across a soccer field), the "Edison theater stop." There is also a hotel van available, which operates by tipping the driver.

This hotel is "nice for a Best Western." It is around the corner from the main conference hotel. We think that the Chase Park offers better options.

This hotel is a charming faux-English Inn. Its main drawback is that it is a 15 min walk from the edge of the hilltop campus, from which it is another 10 min walk to the law school. Since the weather in late May can be warm for Europeans, we do not recommend it. It is also not on the Metrolink. But for people renting cars who like English charm more than American Roaring-20's revival, this is a good alternative.

CENTRAL WEST END MAP:

ST. LOUIS AREA MAP:

CAMPUS MAP (this map is turned 90-degrees counter-clockwise from the other maps):

Brookings (shuttle stop 1) = building 1
Eads (tutorials and workshops) = building 18
Edison Theater (shuttle stop 2) = building 43
Law School (main conference, software demos) = building 49

METROLINK SCHEDULE:
For our hotels, use the CENTRAL WEST END stop, and the LAMBERT MAIN TERMINAL. For the arch, use the LACLEDE'S LANDING stop.
#93 LINDELL BUS:
Our hotels are at KINGSHIGHWAY & LINDELL, and the bus can be stopped by pressing the bell near the front of campus, at Skinker and Forest Park Parkway (also known as Millbrook). On the schedule, this is between the stops DEBALIVIERE & PERSHING and CENTRAL & FORSYTH. Apparently, the bell can be rung also for the stop at Skinker, in line with Brookings Hall (building 1). Please note that the registration information is incorrect: the front of campus is the only stop on campus; it does not stop at the law school. Buses are not popular among campus visitors, but they are not a bad option for us since the campus shuttle has limited seating. City buses are well air conditioned and comfortable. We are trying to verify that the return route (Eastbound #93 Lindell Bus) stops has a stop near the law school.

NOTE: For visitors who want to see the St. Louis Cardinals play, their next home game would be Monday the 28th. SCHEDULE

NOTE: For visitors who want to go up the arch, tickets should be purchased in the morning for afternoon reservations. (May begins the tourist season at the riverfront. Memorial Day, the 25th begins the later summer hours for the Arch. INFO)

OTHER ATTRACTIONS (recommended: New Cathedral, Busch Brewery, Union Station, Botanical Garden. Zoo and Art Museum -- they are adjacent. Meramec Caverns if one has time.)

NOTE: Parking on campus officially will require $1.50/day passes. Standing university policy is that tickets written on visitors' cars can be ignored. Parking in the Central West End is more difficult and will require hotel parking. St. Louis is an easy city to navigate by automobile.

NOTE: Unless you are in a large group, we do not recommend being in Forest Park after sundown. Large groups should be safe. We do not recommend pedestrian travel north of Delmar Blvd in the Central West End (the limit of the cafe district). Tourists are advised to be careful in East St. Louis (where many of the casinos are).

NOTE: Do anticipate warm and humid weather; May behaves like a tropical month in St. Louis.
